I absolutely love the tradition of giving party favours to wedding guests, although I know that a lot of the time if the wedding is too fun, guests forget to take them home! Still, everyone loves being given a gift, especially if it’s in line with the rest of the wedding theme.
Here are two fabulous favour ideas that you could combine very easily with place names and kill two birds with one stone!
1. Plantable heart place names
I love seed paper – not only because it’s eco-friendly, recycled, and will one day turn into a plant (or some herbs, if you’re lucky!) but because it means your guests will have something to remember your happy day by long after they’ve gone home… Check out www.growingpaper.co.za for three different textures of plantable paper, including flower seed and herb seed options. So cool!
2. Beautiful tea bags
I’m not sure where you would find these in South Africa, but I’m sure with some hunting you could track down some lovely, quirky teas and tea bags – easy to label with names and such a lovely gift to take home. Get more tea bag inspiration here!
Don’t you love them? Delicate, lovely, not too much admin…
3. Miniature trees
We all love the succulent favours (that’s what we gave at our wedding!) but have you ever seen miniature trees? What a delightful idea, and wouldn’t it make your tables look so fresh and green?
Do you have any ideas to add to this?
Until next time!
