Clever Heather Moore, whose site skinnylaminx is a treasure trove filled with her latest textile designs and products, has collaborated with an equally talented group of fabric designers to form Thread Count – a professional support network and a web showcase of independent fabric designers and producers for those of us who love the idea of sourcing unusual, locally made fabric prints directly from the people who created them.

There are currently seven of South Africa’s best designers’ work featured on the site, along with their contact details and URL’s should you want to make queries – Thread Count is indeed a one-stop  fabric source and website featuring some of the best local talents in town.

I’ve got my eye on some of Jesse Breytenbach’s prints…just delicious!

Fabric lovers be sure to look out for the Threadcount stand at the Design Indaba Expo – 26-28 February at the Cape Town International Convention Centre – this year is going to be a goodie!
