Hello lovelies – shew, things are busy busy at the moment! At Good Housekeeping we’re preparing for our annual Very Merry reader event which is next week plus we’re putting our February issue together. The blog is busy busy too plus i’ve got a handyman here sorting out the last bits for my Decorland mini makeover, my new pantry cupboard goes in next week and i carted stuff off to the upholsterer on the weekend. As you know i’ve been on a mission to sort out my shopping early and i’m happy to say i’m nearly done. Lucky for me and other people who live in the Southern Suburbs in Cape Town, there’s an easy solution for gifts right on our doorstep. Constantia Village Courtyard has 20 tenants and a host of shopping and leisure options – i’m there at least twice a week. They’ve asked me to put a shopping guide together and i jumped at the opportunity! Given that kids are breaking up in the next week or so, i started with Gifts for Teachers.
Who doesn’t love Lindt Chocolates? And at Clicks they have a really good pay for 2 get 3 deal – bonus if you have a few teachers to buy for!
I read a poll on a local Facebook page recently and a vast number of teachers said vouchers are one of their favourite gifts to receive – Sorbet gift vouchers are always on my birthday and Christmas list – i love going to this branch in particular.
Melissa’s has so many amazing gift options – and for the ‘i thought of you’ teacher guft – these bon bons are perfect.
Jin Jin Jewellery is a real treasure trove of glittery things to love – they also have one of the best selections of scarves in the ‘hood – ask them about their secret stash of real pashminas – they’re really beautiful!
I am such a Quirky Me fan – i never fail to find something i love, want and need and for gifts, it’s a no brainer. These little wired creations are so cute – a brooch and a little hook for keys – love it!
Classic Blue has loads of lovelies to buy – from scarves galore to beautiful clothing and baskets like this one – perfect for the teacher you constantly see carting their stuff to and from the classroom.
Here’s another Quirky Me find – did you know that loads of the items (like this tray) are locally designed and produced?
I found these fab body washes at Clicks – love them!
You can always rely on Present Time for great gifts for everyone on their list and they’ve got fabulous products this season. This flask for the teacher who has wanderlust is so cool!
