Hello lovelies! This morning’s post is all about an amazing brand of jeans i discovered last week. When i was around 12 weeks pregnant with Ava, i decided to simplify my life completely since i knew i would only be fitting into a small portion of my clothes. I did a major wardrobe purge and packed away everything that i knew wouldn’t fit me for the next 6 or 7 months and sold and donated everything i hadn’t worn for ages – this included about 4 pairs of jeans. It was a great feeling to fit everything i wasn’t going to use into one large crate and to keep things simple with a contained collection of easy to wear items. I bought two pairs of maternity skinnies from H&M in blue and black and lived in these for practically the entire pregnancy (note if you’re pregnant, their maternity jeans are amazing).
Now that i’m wearing’normal’ clothes again, i’ve unpacked the crate and i realise i have NO jeans that fit perfectly! I have a pair of stretched out jeggings that scream ‘saggy bummed Mum’ and a pair of Levi’s that i love but that are only good for Saturday shlumpfing at home. So…i am on a jeans mission and what a pain in the proverbial a** it is! That’s why i popped into Madison in Constantia Courtyard last week – they are one of the exclusive stockists of cult French denim brand Le Temps des Cerises. The range is huge but Madison stocks some of their best sellers…take a look…
So, if a distressed look is your thing – the Heritage denims are fab – dress them up in heels or wear them with your favourite All Stars
These are the jeans i’d love – they’re called Power and they’re super stretchy which is great for comfort! The good news is that they also have a super hold function – slimming and trimming as you slip them on.
Le Temps des Cerises are famous for their cult Pulp jeans – with a built in bum lifter! They’re perfect ‘going out’ jeans that give you a great line and confidence.
If comfort is key, then check out their cargo’s – in super soft fabric and i spotted the prettiest dirty pink pair at Madison – so nice for the current in between weather.
Want to try these on or see them for yourself? You’ll find them at Madison.
