Hello lovelies! So, heading to the shops is not on the agenda for me at the moment (unless its for nappies or baby wipes) but believe you me, i have been trawling the web enjoying the new releases for spring summer 2016/7 and making mental wishlists of needs and wants. Have a look at some of the wonderful lust haves for your wardrobe out there…
I’ve been a fan of Shauna Neill’s work for a few years now and i am super impressed with the relaunch of her brand and the new designs she has for the upcoming season. Shauna works with local crafters in her hometown of Durban and you can buy her lovely wares, like these offerings from the Bopha collection, straight from her website. I like the graphic shapes and colours she’s got going with these necklaces. Shop for them here..
The latest collection for local fashion brand Ruff Tung is a knockout! They’ve been around for a while but after a standing ovation at last year’s fashion week, more and more people are noticing them – what i love are the feminine lines, the wearability, the unique prints and the prices of their dresses! It’s not everyday that you can buy a limited edition item with a design pedigree – and at a nice price. Find their dresses for work and for play at Spree.
i know i shared a dress from Poetry last time i showed you my lust haves, but there was no ways i could do a post without showing you what else i want from them – this silk shift (R1499) is so freaking fabulous, i love it! Oh, and check out their sandals for summer here – love!
For delicate and understated jewellery that’s absolutely on trend, Dear Rae hits the high notes. Their latest collection is called Fancy Pants and features the loveliest off the peg rings – many with precious stones. I like a lot!
See this shawl? It has my name on it – i LOVE it!! It’s a Maxhosa original and is a merino wool and mohair blend and is a fabulous size too – 3m x 1m…it is a thing of absolute beauty. With Maxhosa climbing the ranks of cooldom both here and internationally, any fashion item by this local designer is an investment, for sure.
Could this be the perfect white shirt? I think it may well be – it’s from Habits, lair of the fabulous Jenny le Roux, the unadulterated queen of the white shirt. Habits has loads of white shirt options – but this one is the one that i want!
If you love a linen shirt , then you’ll love this find from none other than Queenspark – a 100% linen shirt for R599!
I have a pair of Moses sandals in blue and i absolutely love them. They are beyond comfy, they look fab with jeans, shorts or dresses and if there’s a chill in the air, i simply slip on some socks, German tourist style! I would love, love a pair in black or white white for summer. Also, they have kids ones – i can’t wait for Charley to be able to fit into the smallest kids sizes. Buy them online at Colourbox for R799.
You already know my feelings about local shoe brand Cinnamon Shoes in general, and maybe you’ve heard me sing their sandals’ praises – they really are ridiculously comfy plus they look amazing. These are the Simone sandals, they cost R1200 and you can click here to buy them.
I have had a favourite Levi’s denim jacket for years and years but it is completely on its last legs which makes me sad. Which is why i need to visit Cotton On who have the perfect denim jacket in the perfect colour. i bought one for Sarah for her birthday and i have to say i’m jealous of it! Can payday hurry up so i can get one.
I saved my number 1 lust have for last – these clutches from local leather brand Titch are so fabulous – and they can be customised! I LOVE them and want, want, want!!! They cost R540 each. I think i might have it customised with the words ‘incurable bag lady’…
So there you have it lovelies, my September wishlist for my wardrobe…what’s on your spring summer wishlist
