• Hi Lovelies! It’s a new week and I’m on a mission!

We have six weeks to go until ou baby girl arrives (gulp) and i’ve got a lot to do. I’ve lost 10 days of my life because of the damn flu so this week i am focused, people! The baby’s clothes are being washed, Charley Bird’s cupboards are being sorted (i found canvas sorting drawers which are so much more practical to use on shelves for small clothes, on sale at Mr P) and i’m busy sorting out all the toiletries we need for the baba. I’m going as green as possible with this baba (another post on that later this week) and i’m trying to pare things down to what we really need not what i think we need. I’ve been relatively disciplined in buying unnecessary clothes for the new poppet – i’ve recycled most of Charley’s newborn gear and just bought some new vests, sleepsuits, hats, socks and bibs for this popsicle. This week I’ll have my head down with catching up with my magazine work but I’m also working on a couple of posts on things around the house – one is about the plants that are working for us at home and the other is about a little DIY i mentioned a while ago and which i’m finally ready to share. So…on that note…here goes on getting organised and focused…here are some ideas that are working for me and inspiring me..

A few months ago i realised just how ridicuously overcrammed our bathroom was – with my stuff. Lotions and potions i never use and which were simply gathering dust. So i gave loads away and have been super strict about buying things that ‘look interesting’.Isn’t this bathrom cabinet a picture of organised perfection?

You knew that a post about organising had to include an office space didn’t you – and i think this one is a beautiful example of simplified, sorted style.

Storage bins of any size are very useful – i have a few similar ones to these from Mono which we use a lot. I leave one at the bottom of the stairs and at the end of the weekend i chuck all the junk that has accumulated and cart it upstairs to be sorted.

I’m a huge fan of clipboards and ordered some lovely customised ones from Tickled Blue for work and home essential stuff

Consol jars are my absolute go to for storage – did you know they’re having a sale at the end of the month? I am definitely heading to Stellenbosch to stock up on jars for Christmas gifts.

Our kitchen pantry sort out (read about the makeover here) has been so gratifying and i’m determined to keep it organised – isn’t this pantry cupboard fab?! The lazy Susan of spices is great!

A pinboard is such a great way to sort your thoughts and provide creative inspiration

Fabulous ideas – thank you everything is so neat – making me feel guilty!

We are currently turning our study / junk room into Benjamin’s new room (his nursery is getting a minor clean up prior to new baby arriving – also around 7 weeks away!) – my biggest gripe is all the excess stuff we were storing in the study – I need to make some good life choices in the next few weeks to eradicate the non-entities! Great post, keep coming with the inspiration. Can you share a bit more on those Mr P canvas shelves?
