Hello lovelies. Happy Monday. Vix is winging her way back from Turkey (lucky fish) and I’ve seen a couple of her pictures on social media: they look amazing and so, so colourful. One in particular got me thinking (again) about the power of colour and how we really should take our cues from other cultures and embrace more of it in our lives: in what we wear and how we decorate. Cue the subject of today’s blog post, which quite simply is how much joy and personality that colourful accents can add to a kitchen space. It’s really not a difficult thing to do: a feature chair, a few carefully placed accessories or one kick-ass investment appliance, cabinetry, a painted feature wall, a single stand-out piece of furniture or a collection of furniture items all unified by colour, pots and pans, crockery or tiles and other wall finishes. I love this selection of inspiring images that will hopefully give you an appetite to add little pops of colour – from tangerine to yellow and green to blue to jade as well as classic grey, black and copper – in original, inspiring ways.
